Book Overview

The stranger could be insane. Or he just might be our salvation. Archaeologist Annja Creed is more than curious when a decrepit, ancient-looking man visits her, claiming the end of the world is near. The stranger spins wild tales and speaks as if he actually knew King Arthur. But, strangest of all, he insists that Annja is the only one who can stop the horrible event that is about to happen. When Annja's mentor and friend Roux goes missing, she quickly...

13th in the Rogue Angel Series

Annja Creed is a part-time archeologist, part-time tv host of Chasing History's Monsters, and full-time adventurer. After a dangerous attack on a European movie set, Annja finds herself shipped back to the States. But danger soon follows her back. And when a strange, homeless man appears who spouts warnings about the end of the world, Annja discovers that he may not be completely crazy. Meanwhile, Roux is on the trail of an antique painting that holds an incredible secret. And two deadly adversaries will stop at nothing to get their hands on it as well. This installment is probably one of the best since the original book Destiny. With plenty of action, adventure, mystery, and a hunt for artifacts, Gabriel's Horn, is a must read for any adventure fan. Mel Odom ghost-wrote this wonderful story, with intense action scenes and a deeper look into Annja and Garin's relationship. And leaves room for some interesting future situations. If you haven't been reading Rogue Angel, don't worry about the number of books. They don't need to be read in order, save the first one Destiny (also written by Mel Odom), as each is a completely different adventure. Archaeological adventures with a twist of fantasy, Rogue Angel is still one of my all time favorite series.

More like it!!

After the disappointment of Soul Stealer I was worried that the series was over. Thankfully, this isn't the case! Gabriel's Horn has everything that drew me to Rogue Angel in the first place. Thank you, Alex!!

Interesting blend of action/adventure/mystery. the author does a good job of presenting a believable character.

Seconded: "Back on Track!"

I have all of the books in this series. I read book one and absolutely loved it. Since then, the books have gone a little off track, leaving many of the interesting characters that we started with making small guest appearances, if at all. The main character and heroine, Anya was hooking up with a different man in every book, losing the chemistry with the characters of Garin and Bart and limiting them to casual mentions or phone calls. I really enjoyed this book; it reminded me of why I first loved the series to begin with, and I look forward to the new book #14 in September to see if things continue this way. There is now a graphic novel and I would love to see this made into a t.v series based on the graphic novel illustrations (which show Anya with her sword dressed in all black instead of the usual boring khaki uniform described in the book series) Anyways, 5 stars!

Back on track!

After being somewhat disappointed with a few of the other books in this series, things are looking up with this latest entry. The action and intrigue are back and the plot is entertaining. Well done.
