A light hearted book for Juvenile readers answering such questions as, "why do we eat popcorn at movies." This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a great little book that is sure to be of interest to both young and old. We all go through our daily lives and take many things for granted and hardly ever think about why things are as they are. Well, now you can find out the answers to many things you probably didn't think there was any answer for;but there is. Your life isn't going to change one iota whether you know any of this stuff or not;but it is interesting nonetheless. Here is just a sample of some of the everyday questions that you will learn the answer to. They won't change your life, but at least you'll know. Why can't you tickle yourself? Why does a horseshoe bring good luck? Why do we eat popcorn at movies? Why do old people shrink? Why do you close your eyes when you sneeze,or kiss? Why is someone called mad as a hatter? Who invented "the wave" in baseball, and where was it first performed? Why do so many kids hate liver and Brussels sprouts? How does a lava lamp work? Can humans really spontaneously combust? Why are wedding rings worn on the third finger of the left hand? Where do Eskimos go to the bathroom? There never seems to be an Outhouse behind the Igloo ,and remember it can be -60 Degrees outside, and there are no bushes. See what I mean;wouldn't you like to know these things? This book will give you the answers to these, and many more such great questions. After you know the answer to some of these questions; ask your teacher, parents, kids or grandchildren or friends;you'll be amazed at their answers!!

I read the book Funny You Should Ask. It's a book with 115 and 1/2 crazy but true answers to weird questions. There were understandable, educational answers so it is good for kids ages 8 and up. I like it because the questions are funny and interesting most of the time. It's cool to find out some things you never knew or just wondered about. I really like it because you think about these things, but think that there isn't a true answer. Maybe you think that there's some complicated answer. Marg makes it educational, but clear. I recommend this book!!!
