Full Moon (Dark Guardian, Book 2)

A great story. It is appropriate reading for younger teens. The story is not your typical werewolf/shifting storyline. As an avid reader and teacher, I would recommend!

FULL MOON was just as good at the first book - Moonlight. I could not put this book down and read it in one day as well. Loved the characters - Lindsey, Connor and Rafe. The completely sucked me into Lindsey's world of love and confusion. Another great read for TEENS!!!

Great book in my opinion. I am a sucker for forbidden romance, plus, this is a werewolf book. Werewolves and love don't seem like they would mix together very well, but, Rachel Hawthorne proves it can. Nice job, Rachel. Anyone interested in the Twilight series (Preferrebly on Team Jacob) will love this book. Well done Hawthorne, and keep going on the series! The book opens with a seventeen year old girl named Lindsay torn in two. Connor is her mate, and he declared her in front of the entire pack, but she yearns desperatly for Rafe, the second in command. Connor is outgoing, and talkative, the equivalent of Lindsey. Rafe is the delinquent who owns a motorcycle, has spent time in juvie, and he has few words to say. But around Lindsey, he seems more talkative than usual. Lindsey cant stop thinking about him. Even Connor is wondering if she really wants Rafe for her mate. Lindsey's full moon where she will transform into a wolf is coming up, and females need a mate to help them through it because it is very very painful. When Lindsey's time slowly runs out, she needs to make the decision that will change her life. Connor, her equal, and what her parents set up for her, or Rafe, who she feels desperate to have. SPOILER: During her full moon, after her seventeenth birthday, after several events, Lindsey chooses Connor, which her parents are overjoyed about. When Lindsey is about to transform, Rafe challenges Connor for Lindsey. He is in wolf form. Male shifters experience their first transformation during the first full moon of their eighteenth birthday. Boys are always older than girls because they know how painful it is, and can help their mates through it. Connor and Rafe fight, in front of Lindsey. The fight is to the death. The victor takes Lindsey as his mate. The loser is killed. As they are fighting, Lindsey starts her transformation, and knows she has to stop the fighting. She chooses Rafe, before anyone is killed, and Connor walks away. Rafe and Lindsey are declared mates, much to their happiness.

This series is one of the best romantic young adult paranormal romances I've read in a while. Twilight fans will devour this!
