High Priest of High

Zodiac Mindwarp, circa 'High Priest Of Love' was/were awesome; that six track mini album contains at least five classic punk/metal tracks. Having seen them live just as they began to break into the big time ('86?), and still having the scars from that night to prove it (try falling backwards down the entire length of a tube station escalator and see how you fare!), I was more than a little intrigued to find out what the hell they were actually all about. This book is, as Drummond so accurately predicts in the intro, is full of bullet-proof prose. It is not for the faint-hearted or those easily shocked; being a tale of drink and drug fuelled debauchery, loaded with dark humour and insights into the realities of life on the rock n roll rollercoaster. Thoroughly enjoyable! Further book, film and music reviews, plus general shenanigans can be found at: www.mindcrash.co.uk and http://blog.myspace.com/mindcrash

Zoddy's Mein Kampf

Sick, cynical, self-deprecating, smart, and hilarious. Pictures thrown in to boot! Okay, so maybe the plotline is a little blurry and the truth is stretched as taught as a my nerves on a narco hangover. None of this gets in the way of the laughs. Contrary to what Frau Clyde would have you believe, this is nothing like the tedious and sophmoric 'shock-by-design' offerings of Mr. Manson. Zodiac's Mein Kampf is witty, true-of-heart and at times moralistic. Mandatory reading for those about to rock.

completely politically incorrect and hysterical

I know I am supposed to be outraged as a woman and offended as a somewhat sensitive person but Zodiac's anticdotes of life on the road as a rock star were absolutely hilarious. Nobody but him would have the nerve to tell it exactly as it was without any shame. What a wild trip and what a decadent book. Like eating a bunch of chocolate and topping it off with a pint of tequilla while cranking your favorite heavy metal. Lighten up and you'll love this book.

World in Flames, Millions Flee!

Zodiac winds it up & brings it home in this down home tome fit for the young'uns & old folk alike. My mother bought this for me on our second anniversary and I haven't been able to put it down since. Kinda reminds me of the long-out-of print autobiog Alice Coop did way back when (now when is someone gonna reprint THAT one?). Lester Bangs woulda been proud. Buy now or die!

Zodiac - the evil genius

Absolutely revolting - a classic. Goodbye feminism.
