A Delightful Page Turner with a Conscious

I began reading Frost of Heaven by dumb luck after stopping by my fiancees house one evening to find her immersed in a new book. Not wanting to disturb her page turning, I looked through her selection of texts and found the Podrug novel on the shelf, and after a cursory read of the cover set to reading myself. In all honesty, I am generally not a fan of fiction, and I find myself to be bored with the predictability of many storylines, but the descriptive narrative of this text, coupled with the underlying commentary on life, religion, and the essence of being held my attention through 400+ pages. The ever developing storyline that follows Peter through his quest for Tashi and more introduces us to characters who are depicted with just enough detail to be real, but not so much as to be caricatures. I have found in completing this text that I have been searching online for more information about some of the locales, myths, histories, and legends, that paint the backstory of the text and inasmuch as this book has broadened my view of the world it has been a reward to read. I can highly recommend this text to anyone wanting a great little "adventure" novel presented with enough mysticism and religion to make you think (and possibly research), and coupled with an enchanting love story that makes one believe that finding a bit of "kismet" might be the best thing that could befall oneself.

Religious Implications

This bookwas definitely well written. I loved it the whole way through. My favorite part was the complex discussion of different religious beliefs (focusing on the creation myths of those religions). This shows research and analysis and made the book an even more interesting read.

Adventure and Romance

I absolutely loved this book. It reminded me of an Indiana Jones-type adventure with plenty of romance. Replete with Tibetan history, mountain climbing and religious zeal, this one is an all-nighter.

Treasure!

Causally picking up this book I began reading it with a lukewarm attitude. 36 hrs later I had finished it thoroughly delighted. This story captures the reader and pulls you along with the "pre-brave Indiana Jones" into a rollicking never-a-dull-moment tale that leaves you satiated. I wondered how much was fact and will pursue non-fiction about some of the story settings. To boot- there were several laugh-out-loud scenes that took me by surprise. I couldn't wait to get back to my laptop and share this recommendation with others!

Junius Podrug does it again!

No disappointment. Frost Of Heaven is another step forward for this new author. I highly recommend this book. Please remember editorial reviewers are also paid for writing fiction. Give this book a try.
