From Me to You

Wonderful childrens book. It teachs all ages that someone out there loves you and watches out for you and to teach others to do the same.

Absolutely loved the book! There were very cute illustrations just perfect for the special 2-4 yr old in your life.

My 2yr old twins and 1yr all enjoyed the book. The pictures are bright and colourful. I know they enjoyed a book when they take it from me after we've read it together and they "read" it to themselves and they did with this story.

This book simply and effectively communicates the important advice "IF YOU WANT TO HAVE FRIENDS - BE ONE!" When a depressed rat is lured out of his home to find the author of an encouraging note sent to him anonymously, he finds instead the opportunity to encourage others. Wonderfully humourous art and characters make this a real treasure.

Rat has a case of the "bathrobe blues." His bad days are over, though, when he receives a special letter from a friend. The letter brightens his mood, but he does not know who sent this secret letter. It isn't from Mouse or Frog or the Moles. Rat decides to visit Bat to see if he sent the mysterious letter. Bat is very upset, though, because Rat is only visiting to find out who the letter is from. Bat says, "If you were a real friend, you'd have come over before now." Rat, realizing that he has been very selfish, learns an important lesson in friendship. He also knows just how to cure Bat's "bathrobe blues." This book was very well-written. The author captures the reader's interest from the very beginning by creating a mystery. This involves the reader throughout the whole story, and it keeps the reader reading until the very end. There are several characters, and the dialogue between them helps the reader understand each personality. The illustrations in this book also help make it a success. The bright colors and unique detail help to create a happy mood. From Me to You also has a very valuable lesson for readers of all ages. It portrays the importance of friendship, and it leaves the reader with a good feeling. I would definitely recommend this book for children in lower elementary school. It can be used for entertainment purposes and also to teach a wonderful lesson in friendship.
