French for Fluency

I cannot believe that I was able to find this book again after so many years. It is a very thorough textbook with enough information to last almost a lifetime. A perfect complement to my personal study of the language.

This book is very straightforeward and easy to understand. It is a perfect textbook for intermediate french students. I used this book in my high school french class I took a few years ago and I liked it so much I bought a copy of it to take with me to college to use for brushing up on my french. I would recommend it to anyone who has taken a couple years of french and would like to improve their writing ability. I would also recomend it to advanced french speakers to use to review after having been out of practice for a while

This is a great text to help students relearn and review materials. It is not pretty - mostly black, white, and pink, but it has great explanations in English. Activities correspond with structures studied and are mostly rote practice. Some open-ended questions at the end of each unit along with some thematic readings. There is an accompanying workbook with more practice exercises. Definitely not flashy but very, very good, especially for preparing for AP exams, placement tests, and review after a year (or more) out of the language.

The book is systematic and explains in easy language the various grammatical rules...If you can have only one book this is it!
