The skeptic becomes a fan

I was initially skeptical of the protagonist and felt the need for a suspension of disbelief was palpable, and so I started and stopped the book several times. However, the book begins to explain some of those quandaries and I find myself invested in the revelations of the mysterious character and his background. In summary, the book and series have been enjoyable and entertaining.
