Victor Frankenstein makes a giant monster out of dead bodies. The monster just wants to be loved, but what happens when the monster can't get what he wants? This description may be from another edition of this product.
I bought this book for my ten year old son who was interested in reading the classics. I also bought him Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and the Phantom of the Opera from the "Step-up Classic Chillers" series. All were great and kept his interest.
Nice Chiller Thriller Scary for Bedtime Reading, Really!

I just have to write a few words about the adaptation of Mary Shelly's FRANKENSTEIN for children, by Larry Weinberg. My twin sister, who is as big a reader as I am, is trying to introduce her almost five-year-old daughter to the classics and this book was/is a mega huge success. Frankenstein is all she can talk about now. No more Blue's Clues for her, she's into Mary Shelly's man made monster, big time. In fact I think we have a horror reader in the making, maybe even a writer. It's probably a little early to introduce her to Stephen King and those things that might live under her bed though. Soon maybe, but not yet.
