Forbidden Temptation

So often sequels feel forced--thankfully that is not the case with Paula Graves' latest. The second of her Forbidden books takes the paranormal element in an entirely new direction--Rose, the second Browning sister, is a wedding planner who uses her special gift to guarantee her clients happy endings. Besides being a compelling story, the quality of her writing is not to be missed. Graves' subtle voice leads the reader into another Southern-tinged atmospheric tale, with a hot, sensual romance that plays out as Rose and Daniel Hartman, a profiler with secrets of his own, trail a particularly deviant killer. Like her first book, Forbidden Territory, Forbidden Temptation both thrills and raises the hair on the back of your neck. You'll be happy to remember there is another Browning sister with her own story yet to be told.

FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION is the sequel to the phenomenal FORBIDDEN TERRORITORY which chronicled the story of Rose's sister, Lily. While Lily does make a brief appearance, FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION is all Rose's story- and what a story it is! Paula Graves expertly combines a great romantic suspense story with just the right amount of paranormal to spice things up. The creativity of Ms. Graves is impressive. I really enjoyed the way she weaved the "death veils" into the storyline as it added an extra aura of mystery. Rose's character is very credible and her horror over seeing the "death veils" makes their appearance all the more believable. Daniel's disbelief despite his growing attraction to Rose makes for some very interesting moments between these two. Paula Graves has done it again! FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION is yet another enchanting tale from this very gifted author. Don't start this book late at night as you will not be able to put it down until the very last page has been turned.
