I Liked Reading This Book Of Short Story Romances!

For Mother With Love is a short story book of romance stories from different authors and I enjoyed reading it. The Virtues of Patience is my favorite and written by Carol Quinto an author I had never heard of before I read this. In The Virtues of Patience Gregory Courtenay the Duke of Norwick is looking to find a bride and asks his mother to find a proper bride for him. He wants a convenient wife to set up his nurseries and thinks that any woman will want to marry him for wealth and a position of rank and his mother who is a romantic is displeased with the cold cynical way he wants to go about finding his bride so her choice is the beautiful, intelligent and strong-willed Patience Cheswick who can convince her cynical reserved son the virtues of a true love match. My second favorite story is The Notorious Mrs. Carlton which is written by Martha Kirkland. Ann Carlton is a bitter young woman looking for the mother she thinks abandoned her as a child and wants to tell her off but when she finds her mother she finds out that what she had been told by her father about her mother was a lie and when she meets her mother's friend Michael Herndon, the fifth Baron Herndon they fall in love but will her bitterness get in the way? The Makeshift Mama is written by Dorothea Donley. Audrey Malton is trying to find a husband for her younger sister Susan and pretends to be her widowed mother but Audrey falls in love with Charles Aintree but things get complicated when she mistakenly thinks that he loves her sister Susan. I highly recommend this book but especially for The virtues of Patience and The Notorious Mrs. Carlton.
