A must for first-time parents

As a first time mom, I quickly ran out of ideas of what to feed my thirteen-month-old. This book has saved my life! Recipes include old standbys such as meatloaf (with tons of interesting variations) and more surprising recipes such as broccoli quiche and spinach pie. In the last three days, I've made eight recipes, and my previously finicky toddler has gobbled them up!True, for adult palates, some recipes lack salt, but are quite flavorful otherwise. A must!

Great for older babies and toddlers!

If you are going to only buy one baby/toddler cookbook, buy this one. The recipes are easy and babies love them. And all of the recipes are full of flavor and nutrients (not sugar and salt like the processed toddler food you buy at the store). My son is the pickiest eater alive and won't eat fruit and veggies in their natural state. However, he will eat them in these finger food recipes. Most of these recipes freeze well so you can thaw out individual portions as needed. I've recommended this book to many, many friends.

Fast and nutritious...and my child will actually eat it!

I highly recommend this book. My 1 yr. old refused to eat vegetables unless I pureed them and spooned them in - this book changed that. He will now pick up veggies himself and is eating a lot more. The recipes are fast, nutritious and can be frozen, so it is easy to make a batch and then freeze the leftovers for a day when you have less time.

A necessity for young eaters...

This book is great to start your children to a lifetime of good eating. My list of toddler foods was limited and they wouldn't eat much of what I gave them. This book changed all that. They like most everything in it and I know that they are eating healthy, tasty dishes. At first it can seem like you are cooking all the time, but most recipes can be frozen for later use. You will be surprised at what your child will eat! I recommended this book to my pediatrician who thinks it's great. I couldn't get along without it.

Easy, nutricious, and a great gift idea.

When my grandaughter moved into table food, my son asked for some help. He and his wife were tired of eating and serving the same things. Of course, with table food came the independence of eating "by myself". The combination proved challenging for the family. After reviewing multiple books for "finger foods", I found Victoria Jenest's the best. Easy recipes, fun food for the entire family and healthy for all. I now give this book to friends and family when their meal time turns to a "battle of wills".
