Flyte

This is a wonderful book full of fun and adventure in which the Heaps are caught up in the stream of magic and the evil plot of evil wizard DomDaniel trying yet agian to become king and the Extra ordinary wizard. Along with some help from one of the Heaps (which one is it?), DomDaniel almost succeeds. Anyone who likes adventure and magic will like this story because of its amazing storyline and happy ending.

Good!

I am seven years old and I listened to this on CD in the car, with my mom, who also really liked it. I liked it because it is about magic, and I like magic. This is the best book I've listened to or read in a while. This was very exciting and funny too! I was sad when it was over because the next book was not out yet. I can't wait for Physik!

Better than the First Book

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I read the first novel with a little disappointment because I found it a bit perdictable, but this 2nd book in the series was a true delight. Angie Sage has further developed her characters. She has moved away from the predictable plot lines. There were no slow moments and the story was complete. I am now eagerly anticipating the third book in the series. The hardback edition I purchased came with a really cute DVD for your computer. There are great links, background and even a game. I think anyone from 10 and up will enjoy this series and it would be an excellent one for bedtimes with the short chapter structures. A great read!

Super good book!

Flyte is a compelling book that is hard to put down. It is full of surprising twist and turns with lots of wry humor and original ideas. Flight is an appropriate theme for this book, concerning a flying boat, flying wizard, a flying dragon, and flight charms. This book was much better than the first book in the series--it did not get bogged down in the marshes, stuck in the forest, or trapped in a tunnel. The princess is a wonderful character, rescuing herself with sheer ingenuity. She and Septimus show real moral superiority in not letting their evil brother get killed. I highly recommend this book!

Every enjoyable 2nd book to series

Having bought this as an Advanced Reader Copy, I just wanted to let Septimus Heap fans out there to know that the second book in this series was a very enjoyable--and in my opinion, even better than the first. Reading level-wise, this book is a bit easier to read than higher-level books like Harry Potter, Eragon, or Artemis Fowl, but will greatly appeal to fans of this genre.
