A great book

After two members of the Settlers' Club die of suspicious deaths, the clubs' president asks his friend Regan Riley who is in N.Y. for a crime conference, to help. The dead club members promised to donate valuable diamonds to the club but the diamonds are now missing, the book is great, it keeps you guessing until the very end about who commited the murder(if a murder even was commited).

I love it, I love it, I love it!

Carol Higgins Clark has done it to me yet again. She's penned another Regan Reilly mystery that had me up until my eyes began watering because I was so tired. But "Fleeced" seemed to be Krazy Glue'd to my hands. I read this in two settings. I must once again compare Carol with Agatha Christie, for the sole purpose of informing readers just how tight and crisp Clark's plots are. She sets you up, as always, with Regan Reilly being with her mother and father, or her boyfriend, Jack "No-Relation" Reilly. They might be going to an event together, they might be on vacation, or whatnot. But murder and danger seem to follow poor Regan wherever she goes. And Agatha Christie is so much the same way. Hercule and Miss Marple always seemed to be pleasant enough in the beginning of a new book or story, that is until a corpse fell into their respective laps. I just love Carol Higgins Clark's Regan Reilly series! She makes those convoluted, difficult plots seem so easy to create!

Regan Reilly's long-awaited return engagement

Finally, a new Regan Reilly mystery has hit bookstore shelves. Carol Higgins Clark never fails to please, and she has done just that in her newest release, FLEECED. In keeping with the lighthearted yet literate tone of her previous novels, Carol has set Regan on the trail of a cold-blooded killer, this time on the streets of New York City. She has also included a great new character, Jack Reilly, now Regan's boyfriend, previously introduced in last year's holiday collaboration with her mother (Mary Higgins Clark), DECK THE HALLS. Again filled with colorful characters and even more colorful names, FLEECED is one mystery faithful followers as well as mystery lovers should be sure not to miss.

A Must Read Story By Carol Higgins Clark

Fleeced is a story that will have the reader turning the pages quickly hanging on every word they read. A wonderful effort by this wonderful author. Everyone should read 'FLEECED'...

An excellent mystery

Los Angeles private investigator Regan Reilly is in New York City for several reasons. She's going to visit her parents and also attend the crime convention her mother has put together. She looks forward to seeing her significant other Jack Reilly, the head of the Big Apple's Major Case Squad. Unfortunately Megan has little time to visit with anyone because her friend Thomas Pilsner needs her in her official capacity. Thomas is president of the Setler's Club, a place where people who are free thinkers congregate, exchange new ideas and have fun. The club is in decline but two of its' members, Nat and Dan are planning to contribute four diamonds worth four million dollars to revitalize the club. Both die before they can give their gift. Thomas wants Megan to find the missing donation before the Setler's Club becomes history. Other people are searching for the diamonds including two very dangerous grifters who will use any means at their disposal to get what they want. The fifth installment in the Megan Reilly mystery series is a humorous private detective novel starring a heroine who keeps the audience hopping with her many exploits. The support cast is filled with quirky eccentric characters that add a vein of humor to the story line. Carol Higgins Clark, like her mother Mary Higgins Clark, is a dynamite storyteller who excels at her craft.Harriet Klausner
