Andrew Wyeth was born into a family where drawing was like breathing and his famous artist father was his stern teacher-until Andrew, as a teenager, escaped into the countryside to find his own subjects and a unique way to see and paint.

The BIG Andrew Wyeth book
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago
Yes, this is the BIG Andrew Wyeth book. Very good reproductions. You can tell how big this book really is by the less than half of the front cover I was able to get in the scan. All Wyeth lovers have to get this one, as it is the best of the lot simply by the size of the reproductions. Of course, Andrew Wyeth is so good that any print presents only the shadow of his genius. His originals are breathtaking -- to my mind Andy is the best American painter of the 20th. Century. Andrew Wyeth was born July 12, 1917, exactly 100 years after Henry David Thoreau. He will be 89 this summer. 2006.

50 years Bradford Cove has been our summer place. One has a sense of serenity when there and amazement of our natural beauty. I enjoyed the book and believe it to be the best on the wyeths.
