Glenn Wagner is not the typical management style Christian leader, thus he doesn't have one size to fit all. His writing and teaching have impacted a number of Christian leaders in the United States and should be better known to more. In this excellent small book, which can be read in one sitting, the reader will see what leading from the heart really means for Christians. He tells you how you can find the spiritual power to lead accordingly. Cliches are very often overworked by those who write on this subject thus the sheer simplicity of Wagner's appeal to Scripture, joined with his own experience, is convincing. One of the uncommon points that Wagner makes is that the biblical teaching on power for ministry is not just intended for leaders. Everyone serves (ministers) thus everyone needs the same power that God will give to earnest ministers of the Word who seek it. Perhaps the most remarkable part of this little book is the last chapter. Here Wagner tells us of his own physical and emotional burnout. It is really honest stuff, the sort that is too rarely heard in evangelical circles. I wish I had read this years ago. I would encourage every pastor and leader to read it now. Wagner will tell you how to start over. He did start over, with great pain and difficulty, thus we are can all benefit from this truly honest reflection on a dark and difficult time. There is hope here for all of those who want to hear God's Word speak to them in their struggles.

I have not read the book as yet but, Dr G. is truly a man after God's own heart and I am sure that this resource will be a great tool for any one that is serious about rekindling their passion and desire for God. I am looking forward getting this tool!
