I Am Canada: Fire in the Sky

I greatly enjoyed this book! After reading the author’s notes he explained to blending several Canadian WWI (RCAF) famous pilots into one. If you have read any of my past reviews you know that once I read a Historical Fiction book, I am Alice going down the old rabbit’s hole. As with all historical fiction books I believe sticking with the historical truth. The Author did this based on the author’s sources. I will say that the book was exciting but sad for those in the trenches. The novel has romance (don’t say yuck to that) but not too much for young male of female teenage to tolerate. It does show the horror of war but not to the degree most I am Canada books! If you are looking for a book that has adventure, a small romantic contact and tragedy. a book that grew through historical fact. Would like to caution all people today that most of what is listed as true today is Yellow Journalism-a quarter or less true and blowing out proportion. That or just lie. Suppress information that should be reported in order to gain or influence political favors! Just a reminder to cross reference information that you believe to be true.
