Love in it's purest form

Even a miracle needs a hand! Leone Nunley did not waste her suffering. With love and support from her family and community, Leone turned a tragedy into a miracle. "Fighting for David" witnesses that "If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing is impossible for you." (Mat 17:20). I am a mother of four year old Kyli who is considered profoundly brain injured. We have set out to do what Leone and her patterning team did for David. David and Leone's story has strengthened our resolve and validated our belief that our child can and will reach her fullest potential with the love of others. A hurt brain does not mean a broken spirit, and all spirits deserve a chance to be set free. The journey of one life has the potential to touch so many, in ways beyond our comprehension. David's spirit is whole and his purpose, extraordinary. What's especially moving is that those who helped David experienced that in giving they in turn received. That's love in its purest form.

A Mother's Healing Power

Not only a wonderful read, but such an inspirational family story of the true power of love and dedication. Doctors are limited to science and their human skills; the smart ones admit that a mother's love, dedication and prayers (family and friends, too) can achieve unbelievable results. Leone and David's story was such a joy to read, discovering that it had one of the happier endings.

This should be required reading!

This book gives hope to all who wonder if there is life beyond the diagnosis of "persistent vegetative state." Together Leone and David have proven that it is possible, with hard work and the grace of God, to become once again a contributing member of society. This book should be required reading in all medical schools across the country.

Faith in Action

This is an easy-to-read story of high interest. It is wonderful to see what God can do when we turn to Him for direction and hope in life's most hopeless situations. Anyone will have their faith renewed by reading this book and will be able to identify with Leone when they put themselves into the impossible situations they have faced. How we face them makes all the difference in the world. We highly recommend this book for all. Bill and Joy Campbell

Incredible book!

This is one of the most incredible books I have ever read. It is a deeply moving story of heartache and courage, of brokenness and beauty, of lost dreams and new dreams. When I came to the last page, I didn't want the story to end-and in many ways it hasn't. Fighting for David has encouraged my heart, and I believe it will have a profound impact on the life of every person who reads it. -Alice Gray author of Treasures for Women Who Hope
