Fighter!: Luftwaffe Fighter Planes and Pilots

I wasn't sure about getting this book, but after receiving it and looking through it, I am sure glad that I did!!! It is FULL of really great photos from all fronts that the Luftwaffe was engaged and interesting captions to those photos as well. Anyone interested in the Luftwaffe, weather of the pilots themselves or the legendary planes, will most definitely want to add this book to their collection.

I bought this book mostly because I could obtain it inexpensively. I never really thought that the photographs therein would be as interesting as they are. Many of these I have never seen before, and I have somewhere in excess of 600 books dealing with the various air forces of the world (admittedly in both World Wars, though). This is truly a great overview of Jagdwaffe on all fronts. As such, it lacks specificity to any front (therefore not everyone's "cup of tea"), and is not dedicated simply to any unit or the highest scoring experten of the Jagdwaffe, though it shows a great many of them and not in the usual, overpublished photos. Very interesting. Wish I had picked it up when it was first printed.
