The only thing wrong with this series is that there are only three books in it! Anyone know what happened to the author? If he's alive and reading this, get cracking! We need more Fenwick Travers books!

Saunders' second Fenwick Travers novel finds our (anti) hero in action in the Philippines. Just as entertaining as the first novel, and well worth the price!

A wonderful, delightful, fast read. A page-turner. You can't put it down. Extremely amusing, humorous and, again, delightful. I highly recomend it. A nice integration of fiction, humor and history. You'll love Fenwick Travers.
Humorous adventures of a scoundrel in uniform.

I read this book about two years ago and found it highly amusing. It was clearly inspired by the Flashman novels. The hero is a similarly immoral young officer (this time in the American Army) who undergoes a series of military and sexual adventures on his way to the Boxer Rebellion. The young hero shows occasional busts of military skill and sometimes a suggestion of courage under fire. I am an avid reader of non-fiction history and biography. I found this anti hero most refreshing.
