Fendi Ferragamo and Fangs

Having read mixed reviews about the characters I had a feeling I'd like it but wasn't sure until I began reading. Once I did I couldn't put it down. Vamp Modeling Inc had a contest to find new models. Thousands have entered and while many won the three short stories from different authors focus on three of them. In the back of the book each having a follow up interview though some doesn't wrap things up as well as others. First up is writer Julie Kenner with Olivia from Texas. She loves the night parties and the spot light at first. Both before and after she comes a vampire. What she doesn't like is Vamp Inc sticking her with a would be celeberty boyfriend what the man she loves is back home. Wanting their new super star to be happy they not only fly him to New York but plan to turn her boyfriend as well. They fear if they try to run and go into hiding Vampire Inc would come after them. I had a feeling I'd like this story because I like Julie's other works. I never read Johanna Edwards stuff before. Her segment stars Veronika a large size 14 girl who never model in her life. After winning a tip to New York to be a model for the summer her mom pretty much tossed out the women's lib books for a more Stepford look at the beautiful people of the world. The only problem with an over size vamp model is trying to have job offers accepted. Especially when she oddly seem to gain more weight on a blood diet than on a food one and learn the hard way that modeling isn't all glamorous as it appears. Once again we have the love interest but with a surprising different twist ending compared to the first story. I also never Serena Robar books either but having checked her website I find her other books sound like the worth checking out. The final story has a Sydney who unlike the other girls goes into shock at learning she now a vampire. She much tries to avoid drinking blood that when she does she's scared of going into a feeding frenzy. Lucky for her there vamp law has been watching all the illegal activities at Vamp Modeling Inc and plans to step in. The only thing I didn't like is it left you wondering about the family relations to the new vamps in all three stories would turn out being.

Entertaining for teens

I really didn't know what I was getting into with this book but it has Julie Kenner on the cover and that made it all right with me. I was entertained, laughed and chuckled. While by no means the most entrancing book I have ever read this one was escapeism for the night and kept me from being bored. The characters were typical teens, shallow at times and then again they are very insightful. Certainly I did not consider my evening wasted and I would buy a similar product.

Vamp Modeling Inc. just held its annual model search, looking for the perfect girls to live up to the company's already high reputation. Thousands had tried out in various cities but only some of them had made it, and among them are three girls that stand out the most. All three know very little about the fashion industry, but they do know that they are about to enter into a world, or two, that is going to change their lives forever. Olivia couldn't believe that she was actually chosen to be one of Vamps' models; all she did was send in a picture of herself. And now she is on her way to the Big Apple, as are the other girls who were chosen. All of it was so overwhelming, with all the paparazzi and photo shoots. And it became even more surreal when Olivia found herself in the tabloids. It's a good thing that her boyfriend, Damien, supports her, even if he is still living in Texas. Veronika is the one model chosen that definitely stands out, just because she was the only plus-size one. Veronika had never been ashamed of the way she looked and was so glad that she could become a model just the way she was. Beating out all of those mean girls who thought she could never make it, back in Ohio, was just icing on the cake. Sydney is far from being a bad girl, but she sure is labeled as one. Maybe it's her blue hair and nose ring that gives Sydney the bad girl vibe, but it was never like this. Sydney used to be the girl next door type, but when her father decided to leave the family behind for his girlfriend, the good girl gig was off. But Sydney only did this to get back at her father; unfortunately, he wasn't as fazed as she wanted him to be. Going to New York was the perfect opportunity to possibly have her father notice her again, and maybe get him to come back. All three girls came to New York for the exciting experience. But the one thing they didn't know was that this experience had an ulterior motive. Who would have thought that Vamp Modeling Inc. really wanted to preserve the girls' looks forever by changing them into vampires? The name of the company itself seemed like an (un)dead giveaway. Being able to party all night long and never get tired did sweeten the deal a little, but for Olivia, Veronika, and Sydney, it may just get a little old. Julie Kenner, Johanna Edwards, and Serena Robar are no strangers to the supernatural world, and the stories that they each provide in this very funny novel are both memorable and worth the read. Who knew that being a vampire model could be so much work? Fans of the authors' previous works and the vampire genre as a whole will not be disappointed with FENDI, FERRAGAMO, & FANGS. Sparkling and Delightful

I admit, when I began reading FFF, I didn't have high hopes. I've never been one for anthologies. They're often too short in all the wrong places. I was pleasantly surprised with FFF. Kenner's story came first. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the characters and was drawn into their world. Edwards came next. Hers, I admit, was not the best of the bunch, but was entertaining nonetheless. The ending lacked, but I enjoyed the remainder of the story thoroughly. Robar's was definitely the shining star of the bunch. I loved the characters and the obvious tie in to her previous three vampire teen books (which I also enjoyed immensely). It was witty, well-written, and I was able to relate to the characters quickly and easily. I would definitely recommend this book. It was an enjoyable, quick read.
