A new author for my TBR

I just recently discovered Kathryn Shay and Feel the Heat was the first book I read.I loved the strong heroine, Francey, who is a kickass firefighter and saves Alex, the hero. He is a little shocked to discover that his savior is a woman, and is instatnly attracted.Kathryn Shay's research shows, but she doesn't beat you in the head with it. You feel as if you are in the firefighters' shoes and everything rings true. Her characters are also well crafted, Francey and Alex are truly each other's soulmates.

Great

I love the whole situation that Francy and Alex get into. I love how the book was wrote. It was the best Romance Noval yet. It's a very believe able romance. I just thought that the book was Great! I hope I'll find more books like this one.

Loved It!

Maybe it's because I'm a firefighter's wife, but this is one series I couldn't pass up. The characters were very believable and descriptions of a firefighter's daily life allowed you to really "Feel the Heat"....Both from the fire and the romance! I recommend all three books to everyone. Thank you, Kathryn Shay.

Feel the Heat

It was an excellent book. The characters were realistic, thanks to the author's research. To me, it showed how foolish pride can stand in the way of a relationship (between friends or family).

Fabulous characterizations

At the Templeton warehouse in Rockford, the fire department makes a forced entry to try to rescue Alex Templeton, who is trapped inside the burning building. Firefighter Francesca Cordaro rescues an unconscious Alex, but breaks her arm while dragging him out of the blaze. Alex suffers from smoke inhalation. He and his rescuer are hospitalized. Feeling a bit better, Alex goes to thank the man who saved his life only to greet the beautiful Francesca.Alex wants to see Francesca, but she refuses even though she acknowledges to him that she is attracted to him. She informs Alex that he belongs in the affluent world of her mother and not those of a working stiff like she and her firefighting father. As Alex tries to prove to Francesca that their growing love will cement a permanent relationship between them, she knows how her mother deserted her father, her, and her two brothers.Readers will FEEL THE HEAT as Kathryn Shay provides a realistic look at the personal and professional lives of firefighters. The story line centers on the inferno blazing between Francesca and Alex. However, the secondary characters augment the tale by showing how fire fighters make up a cohesive team that supports one another even away from the station. Ms. Shay will provide a follow-up treat by telling the story of two secondary characters who deserve their tale told in her "America's Bravest" trilogy.Harriet Klausner
