Excellent!

I liked this book much better than the previous ones I've read by this author. This book actually made sense and was suspenseful and interesting.

romantic suspense

I was on a cruise when someone finished this book and gave it to me. I couldn't put it down. This book held my interest like few others. Highly recommended for mystery lovers everywhere.

Same As Usual

This book was exactly what I've come to expect as the norm from this author -- a very well-written, exciting book that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but has a romance thrown in that moves so quickly it's really not believable in the least. Perhaps Ms. Brennan should concentrate solely on the story and leave the romance to romance novels.

another winner

I always patiently await the release of a new novel by Allison Brennan. And I am never disappointed by her books. She continues to write novels that not only entertain you, but also has a way of making you care about what happens to the people involved. This novel tackles the issue of human trafficing. Not only for the sex industry but for the illegal sales of humans for work exploitation. The characters are well written, with real issues that will be acknowledged by the reader as the pace of this novel keeps you moving fast forward to its conclusion. Once again Ms. Brennan has written another thriller that just keeps reeling you in until the final page!

Engaging story

I found myself emotionally attached the Sonya as she dealt with having been a victim not once, but twice. I thought the book was very well written and kept me entertained throughout. However, the romance between Dean and Sonya left a lot to be desired. I felt it hard to believe that they could become so enamored after having met only a few days before. It might have made the book even better to just forgo the romantic subplot.
