Gripping ! Riveting!

This is a fantastic book that grabs you from the first page and will not let you put it down. Some true crime stories are slow moving but not Fatal Error, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is a must read book and I can only hope that the authors are working on future projects. They are too good for a one time book. I bought this book in a combo with another book"HE NEVER CALLED AGAIN", which I highly recommend. These two books belong in everyone's bookshelf.

Excellent book... Agree with Michigan comments though...

This book was excellent, and was the first one I couldn't put down in ages. Matter of fact, I read it twice in a month to catch the little details I missed in my fury to read it the first time! However, I agree with the writer that said they described Flint incorrectly... I am from near Detroit, and even though we have violence (and LOTS of it), Flint is hideous in some areas, and that one in particular is bad. I wouldn't describe it as even working class. This has all the elements of a REAL true crime novel... sex, lies, videotapes, and confessions. You will even feel kind of bad for the gunman afterwards.... thrilling and chilling... it is a must read!!!!!

Fatal Fatale'

I had heard Mark Morris on the (99.7 KY) radio one morning, talking about this book he had co-written, entitled: Fatal Error. I hung on every word he said, and believe me, it's not often I hang on someone's every word!! I had goosebumps, neck hairs standing up and was barely able to swallow -- so captivating was this tale Mark was sharing with the listening audience. After hearing him tell the tale of this bonechilling drama, I was obsessed with reading this book and seeing the photographs of this woman who could drive a man to commit murder, and the poor innocents who were her victims. None of the local libraries had an available copy of the book; the book was on order they said...plus there was a waiting list once it did come in. A waiting list! Woe! I didn't want to wait to read it, I wanted it THAT DAY! I called numerous bookstores, and finally located a store that had but 3 copies left. I told them to hold a copy for me, I'd be there in an hour to purchase it. I stayed up that entire night reading the book, not wanting to put it down, not ABLE to put it down. It grabbed me, it held me, it mesmerized me. It absorbed me!! To echo the words of one of our local DJ's, Max Floyd, I can't WAIT to see the movie. Great job Mark & Paul. You guys have done a terrific job of telling this story of bizarreness, intrigue, passion, and sorrow.

I was there...

I was there.... and I could not have written this story as well as the authors, Paul Janczewski and Mark Morris. Three different people, three diffrent time lines, laced in three diffrent lives. Like lacing your tennis shoes, Sharee Miller would weave a deadly lie between her husband, Bruce Miller, and her internet lover Jerry Cassaday. This book is a real page turner, a can't put it down type of book. When you get to the last page and realize that all that you have just read is true, you won't believe it. How could this wife, this mother, be so deadly, with out thinking of anyone else but her self? I wonder. Is this real life or the one in a million type of woman? For a close, personal, in-depth look into what the internet has to offer, read this book. I even knew how it ended, and I read the book to fill in some of the blanks, to answer some of the questions that I still had. Thank you Paul and Mark for doing such a great job with such a difficult story. You were kind and caring to the families when they really needed it. WE are glad it's over, and WE finally know most of the truth.

This story will stay with you

Beyond the catchy "First Internet Murder" headlines and the lurid sexual exploits, there were the victims - two people who were cherished by their families. What remained with me after finishing the book was how well the authors were able to push past the easy sensationalism of the story and create very moving portraits of two men who died because of the actions of one woman. Mark Morris and Paul Janczewski first introduce us to Jerry Cassaday as his suicide reveals something much more sinister than the obvious problems he was wrestling with. From there, the authors re-create the vivid story of how Jerry's chance meeting on the Internet with Sharee Miller led him to murder her husband. Morris and Janczewski took voluminous Internet mail correspondence, extensive court records and long interviews with the victims' families and friends, as well as convicted murderer Sharee Miller, to create this fascinating, "can't put it down" story. Throughout, you see Jerry Cassaday and Sharee's murdered husband Bruce as their families saw them. After you've finished reading the book, you will continue to feel how they are missed by those who love them.
