Fatal Attraction

I was stuck with a mentor during my first year of teaching who got into an affair with our head teacher. I was carpooling with our head teacher and had no clue that my mentor was jealous of me riding with the head teacher! By the end of the first semester, my "mentor" confessed that she had been having an affair and accused me of being intimate with the head teacher!! The mentor kept weedling me about personal information about men's privates, their underwear, and about where I was on certain days and times, until I was ready to bean her a good one. She claimed that I, along with 4 other women teachers were all having sex with the love of her life and she did some strange things to get us all in hot water. The head teacher had recently gotten divorced and he was just playing the field. Well, that one woman made his life hell. I bought the book because I had seen the movie and I wanted to see what the movie may have missed. The book, and the movie, are too real! The themes are the same, obsession, destroy perceived threats, play the victim...the whole 9 yards. Yes, people can get really crazy, even in settings such as schools. No place is so sacred that nut jobs can't weasel in and make a huge mess.
