Farmland or Wasteland: A Time to Choose

A real bargain at the price! Although this is a serious book about farmland, it is not just for the "big guys" or "real" farmers. It is a great book for anyone who has some land and wants to know how it can be evaluated and best used for continued productivity and sustainability. A little heavy going at times, but still a valuable look at the need for conservation of farmland and topsoil by everyone who owns a square yard of ground. Also still one of the most compelling written. It woke me up when I read it after it was first published, and in fact made me decide to take on and rehabilitate an abused piece of farmland, and later to go into organic farming as well as gardening.
