Embellish your traditional quilt with origami techniques 22 delightful projects for quilts, vests, and pillows, with step-by-step photographs of folding instructions.
Instructions are not clear. She uses batiks, so it is difficult to see which is the right or the wrong side of the fabric when you see it in the picture. Once you figured out and you got the flower, it is not clear for me how you sew that to the piece of fabric because it is not sewn on top but pieced with the "background" and you also have to figure out how to do that. Batiks are probably easier to fold as it was paper, I guess. I am an experienced origamist and I already knew how to fold some models but this is not about origami but to fold pieces of fabric and put them together in a quilt. Again, not well explained how to do that.
Not for beginners

Instructions aren't clear. Seems to be missing one or more steps in each design type. Maybe what's missing are the elements I'm supposed to already know, but no where does this book say it's intermediate level or above. Being a beginner I was looking for simple, well explained steps.

This book kept me up all night, making beautiful little flowers. Lots of inspiration! While the directions were "pretty good" a showing of the right and wrong side of the fabric would have been helpful, but a small amount of imagination and manipulation worked wonders.

A very well written instruction, and project book. Clear, concise instructions, graphics great, and the projects are varied, and not difficult.I would recommend this book to beginners, even children and teen-agers I think, who are craft minded, would love the fabric folding, and the many ways in which to use the flowers.

This book was a pleasure to review. It gave me a different view of flowers. The feeling of accomplishment was of more worth than the price of the book. A 5 star joy.
