Quick review

Excellent review book, covers most topics well, except emergency medicine. I wold also sugest brattons new book,1,000 facts,to study the night before the exam. even though I do not practice family medicine easily passed.

Super HELPFUL!

i am taking family medicine boards for the first time soon and i needed a review book, so i bought about 4 of them! This book is by far the best. Good topic reviews. It is multiple question then answer with explantion style and very concise. Highly recommend it for family med boards.

Well worth 2 readings prior to testing.

For my review, I used the AAFP course (CD's over a few months), Osler's course and this book. Although the week-long courses were good and clinically relevant, this book really completed my review. I went through it once completely, and back again to review missed items. I have been out of practice and taking care of my kids for over a year and this book helped tremendously. Very similar to the boards. Very, very good investment of time and money.

Bratton's Family Practice Board Review

After taking the recert. exam, I found that Bratton's review helped more than the 40+ hour review "boot camp" that I attented. Question foremat was very similar to the board exam.

Excellent Review of Core Subjects in Family Medicine

Family Practice Board Review is an excellent review of core subjects in family medicine. The text provides a breadth of coverage of information that commonly appears on the Board exam. The questions help to identify areas of weakness in the family medicine knoweldge base such that further, deeper study can become focused. The test questions are written in the style of the Board exam; this provides good practice for the real exam. My friend recently took the computerized version of the Board exam and said that the Bratton text helped him to study and pass. I highly recommend it, especially for family medicine resident physicians.
