Excellent Comprehensive Resource on Poverty in America

I use this book in the Families and Poverty class I teach at a University and students seem to really like it. Some who don't typically read their textbooks much actually reported being surprised by how much they enjoyed it. One of its strengths is that factual and conceptual information is illustrated with real-life examples. The stories of people's lives Seccombe weaves into the text really grab students' attention and give them something concrete to hold on to. The other review of this book seems to be regarding the vendor rather than the actual text.
