The ninth "Fear Familiar" book is a great addition to the Familiar saga, giving a much-needed boost to a series that was starting to get stale. Burnes packs an awful lot of plot into 250 pages without skimping on any of the romance, mystery, or humor. It's a touching story of lovers reunited, with a heroine you can really sympathize with because of her family history, and a clever whodunit. The first "Familiar" book I've enjoyed in quite some time. I would recommend it for anyone.
