Returning home to Virginia and about to marry her first love, Heaven finally feels she can get on with her life. Until her past yet again returns to haunt her... The third in the hugely successful... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I really loved this book. I felt sorry for Heaven, she has it rough. Really rough, I couldn't imagine having a sister like Fanny, she's a little witch. Now I'm off to 'Gates of Paradise'!
A thrilling, romantic, haunting tale about a once lost love

The story about the Casteel Family is probably the most intriguing of all V.C. Andrew's series. It is very well written and has all the twists and turns that are expected when you pick up a book under this author's name. I believe this particular story is the best out of the series, and that really is saying a lot. After years of childish flirtation, Logan and Heaven finally get married. But then they are invited to stay at Farthinggale Manor for their honeymoon, and Heaven is reluctant to go. Years ago she had lived at Farthy, and had loved and lost a man named Troy. Her love for Troy was even greater then hers for Logan, and Heaven doesn't want to be reminded of all the pain she went through. But, catering to her husband's requests, they make their way to the dark and dreary mansion that has only held bad memories for Heaven. This was a terriffic romance novel with plenty of suspence. V.C.Andrew's finest! (as well as my personal favorite!)
Emotinally gripping

I have just finished reading this book along with the prequels. I was compelled to read these books so I could understand the life behind Farthinggale Manor and the lives it disrupted. It is a touching series that made me cry and laugh but mostly understand the cruel but realistic ways that nature deals out to unforunate others such as Heaven and her generation. Unlike many books, this series brings out more surprises during the story and keeps you guessing what the future holds for Farthy. I was disappointed by the heartache caused to Troy and Heaven, but realise the manner in the book wasn't just about a love story but more about a girl whose whole life has been so unfair but who finally finds peace within herself after the truth is revealed. Virginia Andrews is an amazing writer whose books are addictive and I look forward to reading Gates of Paradise.

Heaven, Dark Angel, Fallen Hearts, and Web of Dreams are the best books ever. I have not gotten Gates of Paradise yet but when I get it I will be very happy. I also enjoyed My Sweet Audrina very much. V.C. Andrews is far better than any author ever. I have the Cutler family series but I don't wanna read them till I read the last Casteel series. B4 I read V.C Andrew's books I never really liked reading. Now I love to read!~Michelle
