Facebook for Dummies

I read this book from cover to cover I learn a lot about Facebook. I became sorta addicted to Facebook. After four weeks I had to find a way to block facebook. Right now I downloaded this program [...] to help me with my addiction ;-(

This is a great book. It has really helped me to sort through Facebook and learn how to use its many features. I even take this book with be each week to Web Club to share the knowledge in the book.

Who would have imagined that a social platform so easy to use would justify the writing of a For Dummies title... but Facebook for Dummies succeeds at shedding light and making it even easier to make the most of the world's fastest growing social network. With the balance between humor and information that has made the series legendary, two Product Managers that work in Facebook walk you through everything you need to take full advantage of the site's benefits. Though Facebook's controversial new look didn't make it to the book, the content is well grounded on fundamentals, which still make it a relevant and useful guide. No matter if you are getting your feet wet with FB or you are a "veteran" from the times when it would only serve college students, I am sure you will find something useful to take back with you after you are done reading this book.

If you are a technophobe like me, it will definitely help you to do better with Facebook.

This book is just perfect. From the opening few pages you can get a real handle on the phenomenon that is facebook, and quickly you'll know how play in the sandbox with the best of them. It flows along in the typical style of all the "dummies" books as it really helps you get started with ease, but this one has an extra edge: it's fun to read. The authors, whether intentionally, or just naturally, inject a very refreshing sense of humor into their writing that makes the adventure that much more enjoyable. Everything is covered here; how to use facebook to keep in touch with friends, how to reconnect with old friends on there already, making new friends, joining groups, sharing pictures, playing games, making the most of thousands of available applications, how to use facebook for your business... It goes on and on and on. Social networking is just the latest wave of the computer revolution, but it's a big one, and if you're planning to ride it, bring your surfboard, ...and your copy of FfD! ~well done.
