This book is a terrific resource for anyone selecting or training any dog to work around the public, including therapy dog work, assistance (service dog is the term under the Americans with Disabilities Act) dog work, and even search and rescue. Michael Tucker trained guide dogs and conveys in this book many aspects of teaching the dog how to work reliably and with the ability to take initiative responsibly.
