An absolute must for any student of international politics

Short yet comprehensive, very filled but perfectly readable, ambitious yet realistic. Both useful and enjoyable. Good for any student of International Relations at any level, but also for the average cultured person. The book aims not just at telling the history of international relations since 1945, but also at explaining them. In fact, it probably does both things, and in an excellent way ! It provides different and conflicting interpretations, offering the authors' views but without dismissing others. All in all, an excellent reading.
