Expecting Better: Why the Conventional Pregnancy Wisdom Is Wrong--And What You Really Need to Know

One star because it’s easily written. This author made a very serious mistake in stating that lack of nausea in the first trimester correlates with miscarriage. She failed to mention that the actual study was only of 700 individuals and certainly not done in a scientific manner. The study that she attempted to reference, but did so very poorly, was that women who had previously miscarried and then were able to go to full term on subsequent pregnancies were the only sampling of individuals. I stopped reading the book after that because I didn’t feel like I could trust What I was reading. I really feel like these types of books don’t have a true purpose for expectant mothers

This is a very easy read, I jumped around throughout my pregnancy, especially when I particular questions. The author has a head for statistics and presents the information clearly and concisely. I found it a great resource and have since lent it out to newly pregnant friends!
