Ex-Girl to the Next Girl

This book was such a page turner! I was sooo not disappointed. Although I read Got A Man a long while back when it 1st came out I was quickly drawn back into this storyline. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WAY DAAIMAH WRITES! I felt as if I knew these characters. The characters were so real, it was like I wasn't reading a story about fictional characters anymore. I saw these characters in my friends, family, etc. such a good read! Daaimah writes in a hip way that I can definitely identify with. I have read every single one of her books and this one was the absolute best. This was an excellent book, even movie worthy. I can't wait for the next installment. There HAS TO BE ONE! If you haven't yet picked up this book, what are you waiting on?

Daaimah Poole has done it again with this follow-up to her bestselling novel, "Got A Man." Daaimah's fans will be glad to see both Malik and Shonda finally get their just due, and happy to see Kimberly finally finally happy. But new fans don't have to worry. You don't need to have read "Got A Man" to enjoy this book! Daaimah does a great job in providing back story, while keeping the flow of the book in tact . . . the mark of a true storyteller.

This book was really good. Its definitely a good book for the old adage what goes around comes around. "If your man cheated with you he will do it to you." Go head Daaimah, this book was off the chain.

Just like with all her other books Daamiah did it again by giving us an update on what happened to the characters in 'GAM'. If you didn't read the first book than I highly recommend you take a trip to your local book store and pick it up; but if you're broke and can't get it don't worry about it. Daamiah gives you enough information to fill in any gaps you might have. I don't 'wanna' give the story line and plots away so just get the book!

I have read all the books by Ms. Poole and they are all good! This one was hot!! Shonda, Kim and Nadine all have issues with the men in their lives. Shonda is with Malik who she stole from Kim at the alter. Kim has a baby with Malik. Nadine is a school teacher who breaks up with her man Eric to see if the grass is greener and ends up with Malik. All these woman have some involvment with Malik and he is the DOG of all dogs!! This book was very entertaining and I read it in like 3 days..you will not be dissapointed! Good job Daaimah!
