Book Overview

A brutal murder. An abundance of DNA evidence. A three-and-a-half year search for a killer who was always so close-yet untouchable. After the rape and murder of Raleigh, North Carolina, resident Stephanie Bennett, police had ample DNA evidence. They also had a suspect: the man next door. Very well written . . .

This book was very well written! I love reading true crime & this book will hold your interest until the very end!

Evil Next Door by Amanda Lamb

Amanda Lamb did a wonderful job writing this book, although it was about the horrible death of a young woman. I started reading and it was almost impossible to put down. It contained more information than we learned from TV and newspapers.I hope it teaches us all to try and be safer and more aware, even of people we just know casually. Sandra Core,NC

Excellent reading!

I followed this case from the very beginning and was especially anxious since my daughter, an NCSU student, was enjoying apartment living in Raleigh at the time of this murder. This book provided interesting information on DNA and also more facts on the killer than the media. I was so heartbroken by her senseless death and the anguish her family will have to endure for the remainder of their lives. Amanda Lamb did a superb job all the way around! Once you begin reading, you will not want to put this book down.

Good Book

I stumbled upon this story accidentally while searching for apartments in Raleigh. To my horror a young woman much like myself had her life tragically ended by a monster. This story took away the illusion of safety I falsely held, I hope others will read this book and realize you can never be too careful. Unlike many true crime books that get in to lengthy details that seem more like a courtroom script than a story, this book quickly draws you in and does not let you go until the end. This book also provided much information that was not provided in the news or other sources. Overall a good read that I recommend despite the tragedy.

Great Read

Having been especially interested in this story when it happened I found out alot more than the news-media had released. It has heigthened my sense of awareness.I will not be as trusting as I once was.The book is well written.Amanda does a super job whether on the air,or written.
