I really didn't know much about Latino history and I when I am lacking in information I try to find a book. This book was perfect. It well organized and well written. My lack of knowledge on Latino history isn't as deep as it once was after reading this book.

This is a terrific overview with an extremely practical question and answer feature. Novas' command of language is, as always, stellar, and I'd recommended "Everything You Need to Know" to anyone and rate it five stars plus.

Not being a history buff, I picked up this book to help me with a course I was taking and not particularly enjoying. It helped me tremendously. The format made it a pleasure to read, and the history was presented in a way so engaging that I found myself totally enjoying the material. I recommend it even if you aren't a history fan.
