Can't wait for MORE EVERYTHING... Eric makes difficult issues easy to understand and fun to sort out.

Making God Relevant with a touch of humor

An extremely well written book that gives one a basis for a better understanding of God. It has a very catchy and readable style. The humor may elicit some out loud laughs. It's thoughtful, doctrinal and practical all at the same time. A very difficult balance to attain. This is a great read for the serious theologian. It is also a great book for the person who doesn't know what they believe and are just seeking truth. The line between deep theology and just plain fun can rarely live together between the same covers. When it happens we should get a case and pass them out in Central Park...or Kubul.

Everything you wanted to know about God...

Excellent book, starts with basic questions one usually has about God and continues on, in an easy to understand fashion,to very deep aspects of believing in the triune God. The author uses a logical question and answer format that is easy to digest and can be used whenever the reader has a few minutes to invest in his/her soul.

A Fantastic and Greatly Needed Book!

In a world awash with Christian books trying to "checkmate" people into agreeing with Christian truth, Eric Metaxas' book is a wonderfully refreshing island of balance, humor, and sensibility. I cannot count how many times an average non-Christian or nominal Christian has asked me for a book recommendation to help them understand what Christianity is really all about. I have also lost count how many times I have given them some super-heady tome (for lack of options), only for them to come back to me and say that the book was too "top shelf" or too aggressive. "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About God (but were afraid to ask)" is a literal Godsend for precisely these kinds of situations. In a bright, non-threatening, and witty manner, Metaxas gives classic Christian answers to some really tough questions -- but in a way -- and this is key! -- that respects the reader as a friend and valued conversation partner. This book is a rare find. Order a box of them and give them out as presents to your friends and family.

C.S. Lewis for the ipod Era

I picked up this book last night and immediately dove in. It's funny, enlightening, breezy and persuasive--the perfect thing for a believer to give his (her) semi- or un-believing girl (boy) friend. Reminds me of all the C.S. Lewis books I gave away to good-looking lasped Christian girls in college and grad school. I'll probably end up giving this one away, too--but not till I've finished reading it and enjoying it. An apologetics book that will slip past people's defenses and make them think. I recommend it highly.
