A fine, funny, and revealing memoir.

Although Everything About Me is Fake... And I'm Perfect is a sequel to NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY, no prior familiarity with the supermodel's first book is required to appreciate this ongoing memoir of her search for perfection and its ideals. Her struggle to keep up her image of self-confidence is charted in a fine survey covering not only her life and experiences, but beauty myths and tips on how to look your best to make yourself feel better. A fine, funny, and revealing memoir. Diane C. Donovan California Bookwatch

LOVED IT!!

i loved this book. yea, shes fake and everything(hence the title). shes a bitch, and very blunt about things. but thats what makes her funny. shes so honest about how she feels and doesnt care what others think of her.i dont know. i guess if you cant handle all her bluntness then you'd write a bad review. i LOVED it though.

The truth hurts...the svelte bodies of those "aspiring to be perfect"

Finally someone tells the bare (extremely skinny) bones truth about what it takes to look perfect. Why am I so embarrassed to be seen reading this book in public? Because you know Janice Dickerson is so bold, brash and brazen! Why do I feel exposed? It's not MY autobiographical discourse! She is so consistently raw, sharp tongued and quick witted that I am on my toes, on the edge of my seat, and the woman's not even in the room. Notwithstanding the flummoxed intimidation I endured, I learned to admire and am nursing a respectful curiosity about this lady. She actually did turn out to be a lady at heart. If you've seen Janice on America's Next Top Model snapping on young ladies and on The Surreal Life being rude and inappropriate, this book explains how those around her could possible KEEP her around and even develop good relationships with her. She is a natural comedian and got that way through the same early-in-life heartbreak and dysfunction that get many comedians there. You guessed it: somebody at home was a pedophile. :-( That explains the unsolicited rants, somewhat. Starving will make you grouchy. After reading each short little chapter (Starving for Beauty, My School of Discipline, etc.) you find yourself going, "You know I FIGURED as much!" about the secret lives of supermodels and success driven talents who occupy our peeping tendencies visually and sexually. Janice shares her sweet side as well, her two cute kids are featured sporatically and she talks nicely about those who we mutually admire (Tyra Banks, Nicolette Sheridan). I've done my share of self-ripping, starving and displeased grunting to relate just enough to appreciate the insight Janice offers with actual healthy advice and guidelines on how to do things the right way. Colorful fun and filled with pages of good, clean, hard truth, advice and direction on chiseling away fat, scars and the ravages of too much comfort food. Read it!

EVERYTHING ABOUT ME IS FAKE..AND IM PERFECT

JANICE DICKENSONS' TRUTHFUL OPINIONS AND LIFE STORIES WERE A HUGE PAGE TURNER. I READ THE ENTIRE BOOK IN 1 DAY. EXCELLENT BIOGRAPHY. I MAY BE BIAST BECAUSE I ONLY READ BIOGRAPHY'S.

I thought Janice was a horrible person, then I realized....

she has a wicked sense of humor. I bought this after seeing her on Surreal Life. She was soooo mean--actually made Omarosa look like a saint! But then something happened...she was starting a motor bike and thought she sprained her "supermodel" ankle. I finally understood--she's funny! Not seriously mean. The "retard" & "rainman" jokes were over the edge, but she IS FUNNY. So, I bought this book (I bought the first one too, but haven't received it yet--also pre-ordered the next book...) I couldn't put it down! She names Names! She doesn't pull any punches. Glossy pictures. Janice is totally entertaining. The book is wonderful, a quick read and is never boring! After reading it I bought the other two Janice books--so I obviously give it 5 stars. I went from a Janice hater to a Janice lover with one "supermodel sprain". Janice rocks!
