Simple & Cute

We've been reading to my daughter since she was two months old. It took a few weeks for her to show any interest at all, but now (at 4 months) she has a few books she enjoys. This isn't her favorite but she does like it, and we read it last every night before bedtime. The illustrations are clear and simple with bright colors. The text is pretty simple, too. I'd definitely recommend this one as a starter book.

As you can tell from the cover, this book has really cute, brightly colored illustrations that children prefer. The last page has a flap in the shape of a tree with the sleepy bear hidden behind. Kids love to open the flap and find the bear. Given the subject matter, I read it to my child at night, but she likes to "read" it all the time.
