Wonderful!!

This book is a must have in your Christian home. Not just for children, but adults alike can take much from this reading. It is perfect for Charlotte Mason Homeschoolers for personal development. It is a collection of excerpts from classic stories and poetry, as well as scripture to guide the way of manners and rightful attitude toward others and life in general. I recommend it a lot!

A must have!

I dont consider myself uptight or ridgid, but I think kids manners are dissipating. This is not a boring book on manners! It is alive and full of interesting, colorful stories and poems. We love it! It reaches the hearts of my children.

Everyday Graces

I bought 3 copies of Everyday Graces so that each of my daughters has it to share with their children. I love the variety of reading, poems, short stories, etc. that will exemplifly good manners. Instead of just a primer on manners for children this book provides more interesting reading.

"One more, one more!"

My children are 9,7,5,3,and 1. I read 3 or 4 stories once or twice a week at lunch. After each poem or story they always yell "one more, one more!" Useful and helpful lifeskills that the children can't get enough of. Thank you, Karen!

An Excellent and Entertaining Resource

My 5 and 7 year old children love this book! We are using it for bed time read aloud. It contains all kinds of stories and poems from the last few centuries. Some of the stories are a little "mature" for my 5 year old, but the 7 year old "gets" them all. The stories teach lessons on manners without being too blatant - the kids understand the moral of the stories without being "hit over the head with a hammer". The stories are all interesting and very entertaining. This has been a very enjoyable read for us and both the boy and the girl ask for it over and over. One note though - this book isn't interesting at all to our 3 year old, so it is more for elementary age children I think. The preschoolers will probably be too young to enjoy it for a while.

Return now to a world of MANNERS!

This book is full of stories, sayings, poems, and encouragement! It will help you instill in your children the manners that many adults have forgotten. Although our children are older, we refer to this book for a "brush-up" when our manners begin to slack off. It is a great gift for new parents or for Grandparents to read to their Grandchildren!

Excellent for bedtime stories

Our daily reading routine usually includes devotions in the morning and stories in the evening. Our boys, ages 4,6, and 8 each get to pick a story and mom or dad gets to pick one. For the parents' choice we usually pick a story which teaches a moral lesson. This book, is one of the better ones for this purpose as many of the stories or short enough for bedtime. The stories are also categorized for easy selection. Even though this is not our kids bedtime story choice, they do enjoy listening to them and they do pay attention and ask questions - important on moral lessons.
