Hey kids! If 30-minute meals are good, wouldn't 30-second meals be even better? You bet they would! And EVERY FREAKING! DAY WITH RACHELL RAY makes this dream a reality! This 64-page, full-color parody... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Want some relief from Obama vs. McCain? Want a break from the economic turmoil? Want a delightful hour or two snorting at absurdity? Read Elizabeth Hilts's Every Freaking Day with Rachell Ray. Keep it by your favorite chair or next to your placemat on the kitchen table. That's what I do. And every time I pick it up, I get a laugh or two or ten. Hilts has nailed RR: the patois, the over-the-top energy, the mannerisms and gestures. My favorite pages? Hmm, not fair to make me choose. But if forced to, and based on how my copy opens automatically to page 26, I'd have to say it's the We Are Fam-i-ly! chapter. Freakin' hilarious. I swear on my stack of RR cookbooks that I'll never again be able to watch her on TV without cracking up (or groaning). Hilts has changed that forever with her insightful parody... Can parody be insightful? Well hey! How stupid is that? Hello, of course it can! Seriously, kids, when I grow up I want to be as talented as Elizabeth Hilts.
Best cookbook ever!

This is such a fun read through and through. The attention to detail is what got me - I had no idea I knew so much about 'Rachell.' Elizabeth Hilts leaves no acronym unturned and deftly captures the essence of the RR empire. And the photos are on par with the clever writing - the author could have a second career as a food stylist - though I think Mad Magazine would appreciate her gift more than Bon Appetit! I actually did a double take on the "Brats and Beers" photo. I just look at the cover of this book and it makes me smile. I open it up and I laugh out loud. I couldn't ask more of anything or anyone.
SO Freaking Funny!

I got this book at the urging of friends. I can't say that I am disappointed at all. Elizabeth Hilts does a bang-on job at poking at RR. The jello "floaters" are ingenious!
Fabulous book!

In a market so saturated with RR-isms and products, it is delightful to find such a hilarious parody! This book is chock-full of great "recipes", ala RR. One of my favorites is the "Beer and Brat Floater". Just take some affordable beer, pour it into a beer mug, and toss in a bratwurst! What could be better?! Another "must try" recipe is the No Bake Chocolate Cake, which includes foam rubber and toothpicks as its chief ingredients. I love the photos of RR in bed with her griller just in case she wants a late night snack. No matter how you feel about the "real" RR (love, hate, tolerate, RR who?), you will laugh out loud at this book. Elizabeth Hilts is a genius!
Hilarious parody...

When my copy of Every Freaking Day with Rachell Ray came in, I had to stop everything and look at it. Then I called my daughter/best friend who also had just received her copy, and we began to discuss several pages. She would call out a page number, and I would quickly turn to it. Then something would catch my eye, and I would suggest a page. We laughed and giggled for almost an hour. I actually thought I was looking at Rachel Ray when I first opened the book. The woman in the photos really does look like her. Now for the review.... Every Freaking Day with Rachell Ray is a delightful parody. Watch for the page with the hand gestures; it is so Rachelish! I have a love hate relationship with Rachel Ray. I love her most of the time; however, sometimes she just plain gets on my nerves. One page is filled with how Rachel measures, how she preps, and how she talks. My favorite Rachel Ray show is $40.00 a Day. There is even a page in Every Freaking Day with Rachell Ray dedicated to that show. Ladies this is not a cookbook. This is not meant to be a serious book. Be prepared to laugh until you cry. This book is not for you if you cannot handle parody.
