Every Breath She Takes

This one really kept me wondering (and up until midnight guessing!) I could not figure out who the Femme Fatale was, who the stalker was, or even if they were the same person. The romance was a little sudden with the amount of distrust between Carlie and Rio, and some of the book was a little choppy, but overall, a VERY good read.

Well, some folks won't like this book. Easy enough from some of the reviews. As for me, I thought this one of Forster's best efforts. A lot of new ideas and characters; this is not a comfortable read, but I don't suppose it's to be! The romance is fantastic! If you want a one-sided hero then read something else; however, if you want a hero with ALL the right faults, then this is the book for you.Writing a bad review is easy. Writing a good review without giving away the story IS NOT! Try this book yourself! I think it's one of her best and I've read just about everything she's written.

Breaking her own mold? I think so! I've read everything Forster has written (and that's a lot), but she has never reached this far in a story!Rio (the hero) is a tight-lipped, dark, long-lashed, don't push me kind of guy with an incredible background that explains why he's that way...I just love this man!Carlie is so focused...so into herself. No room for a man here. Until she meets Rio!It's too easy to give you the plot and tell you what happens. But I won't do that!Suzanne shines in this one!!

In "Every Breath She Takes" spine-tingling suspense, along with murder, intrique and a romantic sensuality that borders on eroticism make this novel Forester's best to date. The author not only takes chances but pulls them off wonderfully!Mysterious, lean, long-lashed (Lord love a man with long lashes!) Rio Walker, an LAPD homicide detective, faces his most challenging case when he attempts to track down a serial killer known as the "Femme Fatale". Rio finds himself face-to-face with Carlie Bishop--a strong-willed woman and prime suspect--who makes him wonder where he wants her more, in the slammer or in the sack! The reader, however, soon learns every character is suspect.I also loved the mysterious and unusual settings. When Rio takes Carlie on a tour of "secret LA" (well, to say more would ruin the fun for you!) but the next time I'm in LA I'm heading for the Spanish Kitchen. The way the author ties all these elements together makes "Every Breath She Takes" COMPULSIVE READING!

The story line is filled with non-stop action that would elate fans of serial killer mysteries as well as romantic suspense lovers. The characters are intriguing because their growing love for one another conflicts with Rio's sting operation to catch Carlie in the act.
