Even Now

A wonderful, wonderful book! I bought it used (and what a bargain!). I love the main character. Her experience touches so many chords in me. If you are the contemplative sort who has always spent a lot of time thinking about her relationships, this book will speak to you. It's like I've found my good angel, and her name is Michelle Latiolais.

I'm positive Michelle Latiolais' EVEN NOW will--as another reader put it--become a small classic one day. Savor this book. The language is amazing. And the story is deep and heartfelt. It's so absorbing you fall into and then realize what a truly unique experience you're having. I loved it...

I just finished reading EVEN NOW, the first novel by Michelle Latiolais. It is the female, comtempory version of CATCHER IN THE RYE in its beautiful prose and heartfelt emotions that it conjures up for its young heroine. It is a great book, overlooked for now but destined one day to be a small classic. Highly reccommended. It won the coveted Californioa Commonwealth Award -- 1st prize the gold award -- and it richly deserved it. It was edited by the legendary Jonathan Glassi (Scott Turow's editor, etc.)
