Just couldn't make it through this

I tried and tried to be interested in this but in the end I gave up and donated it. Story was too abstract, characters not likeable and somewhat cliche. I loved her book "All Other Nights" so I ordered this and a couple of others. Now I am not so sure about the author and keep moving the other books to the back of the shelf.
