One of my favorites

The young woman in this story is so accessible. She is goofy and funny and extremely talented. The love story is a gift. The supernatural elements only add to it's charm. I wish Ms. Haldeman had written hundreds of books, but she only wrote three. They are all wonderful, but this one I read over and over.

One of my favorite fantasy novels, this book made a huge impression on me when I read it in high school. It's been out of print for years.It's a simple story about some college students getting involved with the fantastic. Our villain is a selfish student who gets involved with demonic forces, our heroes a likable young woman and a professor.The book, sub-titled "A Winter's Tale", has a strong mood throughout, and the writing is excellent.
