English-German/German-English Dictionary

I've lived in Germany for a total of over a year, and this is the only dictionary I've ever needed. The book is filled with common and not-so-common words. What I especially like is that the book is rich in idiomatic usages of words. So, whenever I hear a phrase that I've never heard before, I've found it extremely easy to look it up using this dictionary. The dictionary is also not terrible heavy and doesn't take up a large amount of room, so it's great to take along when traveling, as it would fit easily into someone's luggage. I recommend this dictionary for all people learning German, be they beginners or advanced speakers.

This dictionary is extremely useful. It includes loads of idiomatic expressions-for example, if you look up "term" you you also find out how to say "during his term of office","in the short/long term","name your own terms," and so on.In addition, the user has no trouble finding information such as genetive and plural endings and even a list of 113 irregular German verbs.My only complaint is that the pronunciation key seems a little whacky sometimes; perhaps if I spoke British English, I would find the key to be more accurate.The reasonable price also makes this dictionary a good choice.
