This book describes EMTs to a tee. We never know when we're going to be home, we sometimes don't get to spend a lot of time with our family, and our life is filled with adrenaline, loss, and victories. What more could you ask for in a good book?

Beyond the glamor and dangers of big city rescue squad operations is the more personal type of work provided by the rural squads.
