Empower the People: Social Ethics for the African-American Church

I never looked at the world through this lens. I always had an education and a job. The book answered these questions for me: What would the world look like if i got started without either of these? Is a person given freedom if they are without access to resources? Or are they simply transferred from one type of servatude to another? How do we end poverty (various perspectives such as those from Dr King). Clearly, there is a lot i still do not understand, but i have another lens to look through to find answers. Joel Pugh
